In Torre Pallavicina, the fifteenth-century Palazzo Oldofredi, with its frescoed halls and barrel-vaulted brick cellars, along with the small church of San Rocco, provides the evocative setting for a diffused exhibition. The exhibition showcases thirteen artists whose autonomous stylistic lexicons are unified by a shared artistic ethos: a commitment to an intimate and profound exploration that eschews all forms of ostentation.
Most of these artists have been central to the curatorial vision of Hélène de Franchis at her gallery, Studio La Città, since the dawn of the new millennium. This exhibition is presented as a tribute to her. Titled Il Respiro Nascosto delle Cose (The Hidden Breath of Things), the show establishes an unpredictable dialectic where elective affinities facilitate a compelling interrogation of diverse artistic expressions. The dialogue unfolds through an interplay of forms, techniques, and languages, including several site-specific works created for the occasion.
