Herbert Hamak, Villa Valmarana ai Nani – the Forest

The iconic sculptures by the artist Herbert Hamak dialogue with nature and architecture of Villa Valmarana ai Nani, changing appearance as sunlight changes. During the weekend of March 28-29, on the occasion of Design in Villa 2026, the Hamak’s works will meet those of designer Matteo Cibic combined between contemporary art and design. The exhibition will run until September 30th, 2026, in the woods of Villa Valmarana ai Nani (Vicenza).

Lucas Reiner – Renaissance Removal Paintings

Over 25 years of painting marginalized background trees as forefront images, I looked further into the background of those backgrounds. what is that space? I grew up in the shadow of conceptual art, but I don’t consider myself a conceptual artist.

Stuart Arends – Series X

The “SERIES X” works are an extension of the earlier “P.D.F.” series, which were inspired by the paintings of Piero della Francesca. The current Series X initially came out of the wax sculptures of Medardo Rosso.

Mikhael Subotzky – Water and Sunlight

Subotzky brings into focus dynamics of marginalisation and the continuities between the colonial past and the present, interrogating the structures of power that govern everyday life.
