This photo album documents the group exhibition “De Rerum Natura”, curated by Angela Madesani in collaboration with Andrea Lerda at Studio la Città. Taking its title from Lucretius’s famous poem as a call to responsibility and awareness, the exhibition offers an in-depth reflection on the complex relationship between humankind, contemporary art and the environment, transcending the historical boundaries of Land Art to address nature as an ethical and ecological subject. Through a rich selection of works ranging from installation to photography, from video to drawing, and extending to cross-pollinations with the world of design, it explores the secular sacredness of the landscape and the devastating reality of today’s environmental issues. A collective and highly topical volume bringing together the work of fifteen international artists from different generations: Emanuele Becheri, Andrea Caretto, Raffaella Spagna, Lynn Davis, Mikala Dwyer, Studio Formafantasma, Herbert Hamak, Jacob Hashimoto, Esther Mathis, Laura Pugno, Luca Rento, Elisabeth Scherffig, Elisa Sighicelli, Eltjon Valle, Massimo Vitali and Andre Woodward.
