This photo album documents the exhibition project “Ad Lucem. Contemporary Art for Arvo Pärt”, conceived by Hélène de Franchis, Angela Madesani and Roberto Masotti as a tribute to the musical and spiritual output of the renowned Estonian composer. The catalogue captures the atmosphere of a cohesive and evocative exhibition, centred on profound affinities, moods, silences and visual harmonies that unite the great art of the twentieth century with Pärt’s music. The exhibition features artworks by Italian artists whose history is closely intertwined with that of Studio la Città. In addition to works by four recognised masters of twentieth-century art – Fausto Melotti, Giorgio Morandi, Lucio Fontana and Piero Manzoni – the exhibition also features works by five artists who express themselves through different artistic languages: Pier Paolo Calzolari, Vincenzo Castella, Giulio Paolini, Ettore Spalletti and Franco Vimercati.
