Hand under hand, Arthur Duff's new installation for Murano Illumina il Mondo

For the tenth anniversary of Venice Glass Week, Murano Illumina il Mondo transforms St. Mark’s Square in Venice into a grand installation of light art and design along the portico of the Procuratie Vecchie.

Arthur Duff presents Hand Under Hand, created and produced in collaboration with master glassmakers Nicola Moretti and Stefano Bullo and their respective historic glassworks in Murano.

The work consists of nineteen sheets of colored glass crafted using the glass-fusing technique, giving the monumental chandelier an organic form.

Arthur Duff forges an indispensable link between contemporary art, design, and Venetian craftsmanship by employing the complex codes of his anthropomorphic language in a completely new form.

The installation will be open to the public from 7PM on September 13 through November 1, 2026, coinciding with The Venice Glass Week festival.
