When creating new objects, one must be open to novelty, to the mystery of what one brings into the world.

The object cannot already be defined; I am not a ceramicist, but I needed to work with ceramics, and this became a way to explore a new territory.
I exposed myself to something I did not know. Here, the work essentially becomes painting, but perhaps it also crosses into the realm of sculpture.
It is important not to know what one is doing—only in this way can one truly arrive, and incorporate new elements into the work.
