1 Trieste. Paintings, photographs, sculptures, videos and installations by 82 contemporary artists from 18 different nations. Through a sequence of images sublime fire of Nature, the shows promoted and organized by the Culture of the Municipality of Trieste - curated by Marco Puntin and Jonathan Turner - shows the symbols of strength and beauty of Mother Nature today, in this time of climate changeand environmental instability. The Italian photography comes to New York with the show
Peripheral Visions. Italian Photography in Context (1950s-Present) –
Hunter College, New York, from 2/2/2012 until 28/4/2012. This exhibition showcases, for the first time in the United States, the works of major Italian photographers who have explored an alternative image of Italy in relationship to the country’s well-known historical patrimony and scenic locations. Among the presented pieces, the works by
Gabriele Basilico and Vincenzo Castella will also be on display.

The appointment with the greatest exponents of Italian photography continues in
New York with a group show organized by Studio la Città at the
Howard Greenberg Gallery.
An Italian perspective/Una prospettiva italiana - this will be the title of the exhibition - will present the works by
Gabriele Basilico,
Vincenzo Castella,
Luigi Ghirri and
