Meetings with artists are always an occasion for coming into contact with the creativity behind a work of art and for discovering the motives behind artists’ interests and activities. An inquiry we undertook revealed a need for a document that might bring us directly into contact with both the work and the state of mind of those who have devoted their life to art. So we are happy to announce the first in a series of videos about the gallery’s artists.

The content of this DVD is the outcome of the recreation in words and images of a public discussion with the artist during her second show in the Studio la Città gallery, Verona. On this occasion Max Cole discussed her work with Giuseppe Pansa di Biumo, the famous collector; Kim Wausen director of the Marlborough gallery, New York; Marco Meneguzzo, art critic and professor of contemporary art history at the Brera art school; and with the public. “Summer 2006” is a complete video document made by Elizabeth Goetz about Jacob Hashimoto's artwork created for his solo show at Studio La Citta' in september 2006. Jacob Hashimoto was video taped continuously through the summer while working in his studio in Via dietro Filippini, two doors down from the gallery. (video) (press release)
