Eelco Brand (Rotterdam 1969; he lives in Breda, in the Netherlands). He began as a painter but began to use 3D computer animation in order to eliminate the static effect of his paintings. In his short videos he reconstructs fragments of landscape that, in reality, do not exist: they have no beginning nor any narrative development and as a result they are best considered as ‘pictures in movement’.
